Easter Pictures

Burgers and Blues with Grandaddy and Nanni, it's become a family favorite!  They have live music playing outside on the deck where you eat, I've never seen moves from Ryder like I saw that night.

I am always finding Ryder walking around in John Michael's shoes.  This morning, he pointed to John Michael's shoes and said, "Is my daddy's shoes".  It was pretty sweet.

Happy first birthday to Gaines!

 Friends and Babies

While we were singing happy birthday I looked over to find Ryder snatching the animal crackers.

During the party we had a minor mishap, Ryder skidded head first on the concrete.  This is concrete burn.  But I love how he is at the stage, if I kiss it, it's all better.

Luckily, Easter pictures were the day before this incident.  I want to thank Connie again so much for taking these!
He definitely knew what this little creature was.  "Rabbit, Rabbit!!"

--------------

Not my best Betty Crocker moment.  I wanted to make a blueberry cream cheese poundcake.  I followed instructions to a T and even cooked it about 5-10 minutes longer.  Here's how it looked when I pulled it out and let it "cool" and after I got that stupid thing to finally dump out of the bundt pan onto the cooling rack...

THIS!

And THIS was left in the bowl.  I don't know what happened.  Well I do, it just didn't cook long enough, so just to see how must longer it could've possibly taken, I dumped it all back in the bundt pan (not intending to eat it, of course) and kept cooking.  It got to be 40 minutes later and it still wasn't done.  Whatever.

But let me tell you what is good.  Crock Pot BBQ Chicken.  Easiest thing you will ever make, and yummy to the tummy.

Crock Pot BBQ Chicken
6 chicken breast, thawed
Season with onion powder, seasoning salt, whatever you like to season with.
Put in crock pot
Pour in one full coke and a regular sized bottle of your choice of bbq sauce.
Cook on low for about 7 hours.

For our sides we had homemade mac and cheese, baked beans and a roll.  We did not have blueberry cream cheese pound cake though.

I can't wait to blog next week after our first ever family weekend getaway just the three of us, over two nights!  Should be interesting...

Oh, and please keep Ryder in your prayers, he is getting tubes next Tuesday, April 12.
