At his one year check up he weighed 22 lb 4 oz - 50th percentile and his head is 47.5 cm, 75th percentile.
And he is 2 ft. 7 in, which is 75th percentile.
12 month Facts:
- Size 4 diapers
- Size 3 shoe
- 12-18 month clothes
- 8 total teeth: 3 top teeth, 3 bottom teeth and the fourth one looks like it's peeking through. And two molars.
- Naps 9-11 a.m. and 2-3 p.m. (both naps are usually longer).
- He is not walking by himself yet. He can stand in place a little.
- Up until his first birthday he was taking 3-4 6oz bottles a day. No juice because he refuses any cold liquid and refuses sippy cups.
- After his birthday, which has only been a few days, I have tried to ween him down to one bottle of luke warm milk at night and cold milk in a sippy cup 3 or so other times a day. He hates cold drinks so I warm it a little and there is one cup that I have taken the handles off so it feels like a bottle and it has a soft nipple so that's working so-so.
- He feeds himself finger food but of course I give him spoon-food (yogurt, grits, applesauce, etc).
- Knows when I tell him to stop or come here or whatever I'm asking him to do. He's good about following directions. Except when I tell him not to put something in his mouth. He has no self control there!
- He says da da all the time, mama, and I think he says ni-ni (night night) when rubbing his eyes at night. He says ba-ba a little too for bottle. And then he just makes all other sorts of gibberish.
- If he hears someone burst into laughter he'll mock them and do a big fake laugh like HA HA HA HA HA along with a big grin.
- He knows what to do when I say "give me five"
- If I ask him where my nose is (or eyes, or mouth or anything on my face) he will take his hand and slam it into my face. Can't quite pinpoint the exact location yet :)
- He gets a thrill out of looking at himself in the mirror.
When I didn't think life could be any better, Rhodes joined our family and he has filled our hearts with so much joy. He is truly, truly, truly a blessing to our family. I love his sweet spirit and calm personality. I especially love his big grin and watching the way he adores his big brother. He is so easy and just goes with the flow. We have our moments, naturally, but for the most part he is a dream. I am so grateful God chose him for us! We are looking forward to watching him grow and become his own little person. Thank YOU Lord for Your many blessings.
On the night of his birthday we had his party at our house with a Peter Rabbit theme.
On the night of his birthday we had his party at our house with a Peter Rabbit theme.
I didn't do a big cake, just cupcakes. On clay flower pots (for the theme, you know).
And a smash cake for Rhodes.
I covered some party hats with kraft paper and these free printables.
Party favors
Found these mini galvanized watering cans online and added some carrots to plant.
Year of photos.
