So, not surprisingly, we took Ryder to the doctor Monday for running fever, tugging on his ear and because all he ate from Saturday to Monday was two fruit cups and 6 bites of applesauce. We learned he has a double ear infection and is still wheezing, and has that same ole cold. So Monday night was the first time he ate a tiny bit more, and then I gave him his antibiotic for the ears. I put him down at 7:30 and an hour later he was making a weird crying sound, like it was muffled. When I got close to his door, it didn't take my sense of smell long to know what happened. There was so much throw up, it was horrible. All over his face, hair and clothes, and of course covering the sheets. He was shaking, it was so sad. So I got him up and put him in the bathtub, cleaned out his mouth, put his pj's on and layed him in our bed, gave him some pedialyte, and he fell asleep immediately. That didn't last long, he woke up all through the night crying out and asking for milk. This morning when we got up for good, he had two bloody nostrils, pitiful. But just another day at our house.
He is much better now and went back to school today.

Sunday was a big day for us. Peanut left for California. He's going to have such good parents - Allyn Ann and Jeremy treat Jack (Peanut's real dog brother) like a king! We gave him a sedative for the plane ride and Allyn Ann said he slept the whole time and when she had to take him out to go through security, he could hardly hold his eyes open. Precious. If you have been around Peanut, you know how awkward he is, guaranteed the weirdest dog you'll ever meet, but he's such a sweet little thing and JM and I are going to miss him terribly, but we want what is best for him and he needs the attention we aren't able to give him anymore.
Our last photo with Peanut, JM and Peanut look half asleep.
Getting situated
Peanut was Allyn Ann's carry on, so he got to ride in this little bag
Ryder saying his goodbyes. He said "Peeeaaaanut, Peeeaaaaanut"
But the good news is we will get to see him when we go out and visit! We want to take Ryder around September or October, after he turns two. We'll take him to visit Disney Land (Allyn Ann and Jeremy have free passes!) and we'll also visit the San Diego Zoo, and all the other fun stuff Ryder will love. We can't wait!
Here is the first day we got Peanut, October 2007. He was two months old.

Continuing our Sunday, after Peanut left we got to go celebrate Levi's baptism as his Godparents! It was so sweet and he was perfect the entire time.

Hanging out during church
Ryder didn't come to church because they don't have child care, and well, you know how that would end. But he did come with us afterwards to have lunch at the Accardo's.
After lunch we played at the park

Ryder actually responds really well to time out. He knows what it means and this is only the second time I've put him in timeout and he stayed there until I went and got him., well, at least long enough for me to run and get my camera. We're getting there.
If you're a pasta lover, you have to try this EASY recipe. And these are all ingredients you probably already have on hand. I don't know the name of it, because I kind of just put some things together, but let's call it Grilled Chicken and Cream Cheese Pasta.
8 oz. cream cheese
3/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
1/2 cup butter
1/2 cup milk
8 oz Angel Hair Pasta, cooked and drained
4 chicken breasts, cut into bite sized pieces
Lemon pepper, seasoned salt and garlic salt
Heat olive oil over medium heat in a skillet and put in the cut up chicken. Season the chicken with lemon pepper, seasoned salt and garlic salt. Cook chicken until done.
In a large saucepan combine the cream cheese, Parmesan cheese, butter and milk, stirring constantly until smooth. Stir in the cooked pasta noodles and chicken. And serve!
I am sad that Peanut is gone and I never even met him. I do plan to try that chicken recipe though!
